number of previous research studies, the author makes clear and in-depth
explorations.
The book is divided into 5 chapters, discussing respectively the
basic patterns of the Bei- Sentence, the appearance/disappearance and its
restrictive factors of the components of the Bei- Sentence, the transfer between
the Bei-Sentence and the topic sentence, the new usages of the Bei-Sentence,
and other issues.
Using abundant corpus, this book endeavors to combine the analysis
with the induction, and the classification with the statistics, thus having
much academic value.
