Syllabus of Undergraduate Chinese Language Courses for
Overseas Students in China, a summary of the experience accumulated by teachers from
the College of International Chinese Studies of BLCU during years of teaching
practice, is a valuable asset for the construction of the discipline. The
syllabus consists of three volumes, and this volume is the syllabus for the
first and second year courses, sorting out the key courses in the first and
second years of the undergraduate Chinese language courses for overseas
students at the College of International Chinese Studies, which is of reference
and significance for the teaching of Chinese language courses for overseas
students in colleges and universities.
Zhang Hao is a professor and doctoral supervisor at
Beijing Language and Culture University(BLCU). Having been engaged in teaching
Chinese as a foreign language for more than 30 years, Professor Zhang has
taught in the United States, Canada and other overseas colleges and
universities for nearly 10 years, and has traveled to overseas as an expert of Center
for Language Education and Cooperation to conduct Chinese teacher training for
many times. Her research mainly focuses on Chinese language teaching and
cultural communication. She has published more than 30 papers in core journals,
6 monographs, and 7 provincial and ministerial projects. She has been awarded
the Beijing Higher Education Teaching Award and the Beijing Teachers’ Virtues
Pioneer Award. As the person in charge, she has declared and won the evaluation
of national first-class undergraduate program, national first-class course,
Beijing excellent educator team, Beijing key first-class major and so on.
This syllabus is one of the basic research results of
Beijing’s key construction of first-class majors (Chinese language major for overseas
students), which is of reference and significance to the teaching of Chinese
language courses for overseas students in colleges and universities in China.
