The book demonstrates in detail some common characteristics of the nationalities in Central and East Asia, such as social commitment, group cooperation, fast learning, self-discipline, both individual-oriented and group-oriented way of thinking, national awareness of both self-confidence and precaution, and so on. Manchu and Korean Studies, the two weak aspects in the field, are now paid more attention to. It is a book worth thinking and reading for its equal emphasis on the demonstration of cultural theories and the beauty of words.
